The lively Dance of the Tumblers comes from the third act of Rimsky-Korsakov's opera The Snow Maiden. This arrangement will provide a wonderful challenge for the collegiate/professional level group while being a very recognizable pops classic for the audience.

This work is scored for an unusual instrumentation for a sax ensemble. The work calls for 2 soprano, 2 alto, 2 tenor and 2 baritone saxes, but is actually divided into 2 sax quartets. This is to allow for use as a side-by-side work for student and professional ensembles.
