This blues for band was originally a brass quartet composed for Borealis Brass. It is part of a series of pieces in a blues style after each of the composer's dogs. This one refers to the fact that whenever Borealis Brass rehearsed in one of the members' homes, there were invariably up to four dogs lying among the players and sleeping through rehearsal. For this band version, pictures of the band members' dogs could be projected during the performance.
