After fussing around with many arrangements, I finally came back to this one which reserves the violin for the glorious chorale tune and lets the guitar provide the lovely 'bedding' upon which it floats. Frustrated violinists may read over the guitarist's shoulder and play the 'motet' melody if they must. Guitarists, if your violin player doesn't show up, the guitar part is complete on its own!
