Product Description
The German for Dreams of Love, Liebesträume No. 3 is from
a set of three solo piano works by Franz Liszt. In 1850, several versions of Liebesträume
were published, for solo piano and as a song for high voice and piano. The song
(or lieder) was based on the poem "Love as long as you can!" ("O lieb, so lang du lieben kannst") by Ferdinand
Freiligrath about unconditional love.
Elvis Presley took
the third Liebesträume as inspiration for his song Today, Tomorrow and
Forever, used in the film Viva Las Vegas.
Further to this, the piece has also been used the film The Girl in the Spider's Web and Some Like it Hot, the TV series Mad
Men, Bewitched and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and the video
game Gran Turismo 4.
