Product Description

Released in 2006 by Snow Patrol, "Chasing Cars" is, according to Gary Lightbody in an interview with Rolling Stone, "the purest love song that I've ever written. [...] All the other love songs I've written have a dark edge." The title of the song comes from Lightbody's father, "You're like a dog chasing a car. You'll never catch it and you just wouldn't know what to do with it if you did.", which was said concerning a girl Lightbody was infatuated with. It has been used on TV shows such as One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy (sung in season two by Snow Patrol and in season seven by the cast).

Great as background music (especially for weddings) or as a concert item in its own right.

This arrangement includes alternative parts for tenor horn, treble-clef euphonium and tuba. A recording of the original song can be found on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GemKqzILV4w.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
