Product Description

Arrangement of the piano rag "The Chrysanthemum", composed by Scott Joplin. The Chrysanthemum is a piano rag published by Scott Joplin in 1904. Joplins marriage to his wife Belle was on the rocks at this point, and he dedicated the work to a young woman called Freddie Alexander who was to become his second wife. The origin of the name "The Chrysanthemum" is not known, but Joplin frequently used the names of trees and flowers for his works.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
