Be Thou My Vision
Sheet Music for Trumpet Duet
Arr. Eddie Lewis

This arrangement is number thirteen in our Trumpet Hymn Duets series. These duets are designed to fit perfectly in your traditional church services. The arrangements are creative, but they never stray away from the original mood and harmonies of the hymn.

This arrangement in particular, Be Thou My Vision, is a more pensive one than some of the others in the series. There's more slurring and the written dynamics stay on the p side of mf throughout.

The arrangement is perfect for traditional church services. You can use it as a prelude, for offertory, or for communion music.

The skill level is intermediate. The top not in the first part is up to B flat above the staff. The top note in the second part is G above the staff.

The most difficult part of learning this arrangement is being able to breathe without interrupting the flow of the music. I have included my personal breath marks to help make it a little easier to navigate the phrases in that regard. If you are interested in more of these hymns, I invite you to browse the Tiger Music page here on SMP.
