Eddie Lewis composed this suite for the Clarion Trumpet Ensemble of Hannibal-LaGrange Univesity. While it is intended to match their specific strengths and weaknesses, it may also fit your ensemble's needs.

As Eddie was working on the piece, he kept feeling a tug to write in the styles we associate with the turn of the century, over a hundred years ago. He has always enjoyed that period of music and this was a wonderful opportunity to try composing in that style.
