David Popper's 'Requiem' Op. 66, was written in 1891, originally for three cellos and orchestra. It is often performed in its reduced scoring for three cellos and piano. This arrangement is for six cellos - 1,2 and 3 take the original solo parts (plus some additional accompaniment) - while 4,5, and 6 form the main accompaniment. Cello 4 tunes the C string down to Bb. Arranged for Cello Sextet by cellist Tim Cais www.timcaiscello.co.uk.
