Product Description
Messiah is an oratorio composed by Handel in 1741. This lively and well-known chorus is set to the biblical text found in Isaiah 40:5; And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
The first trumpet part has been written with B-flat piccolo trumpet in mind. It is certainly possible to perform the first trumpet part on standard B-flat or C trumpet, the part goes up to (concert) high B-flat twice. However, the part sits at the top of the staff for extended phrases and is better suited for a B-flat piccolo. However, parts are provided for B-flat piccolo, standard B-flat and C trumpet. B-flat and C parts are also provided for the second trumpet part.
This arrangement is suitable for any concert or church service, including Easter. Performance time, 3:30.
