Product Description
This arrangement is part of the Chicago Gargoyle Brass and Organ Ensemble Signature Series.
Tchaikovskys Nutcracker is universally popular and has become one of his most famous compositions. The ballet tells the story of a young girl who receives a nutcracker (in the form of a soldier) for Christmas.
She falls asleep and dreams that all the Christmas presents come to life. Since the music of the Suite is so familiar, there is hardly any need to offer any additional description beyond the titles of each movement: March, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Russian Dance (Trepak), Arabian Dance (Coffee) Chinese Dance
(Tea), Spanish Dance (Chocolate) and Waltz of the Flowers.
This arrangement has been carefully edited and abridged to showcase the colors and dynamics of brass and organ. Your ensemble may perform just one movement, all 7, or any combination you wish. And, for the price, 7 movements
is a real bargain!!
Trumpets are asked to double on Flugelhorns (optional).
This arrangement comes with a percussion part (timpani, suspended cymbal, tambourine, castanets and triangle). The percussion part may be played by one performer.
