Product Description

This is a cornet duet version of the cornet solo of the same name written for Gordon Ward and recorded by him with the New York Staff Band.
This version was arranged for a special concert held in New York and the Youtube clip is a recording of that concert featuring the Greater New York Youth Band. 
An exciting virtuoso showcase for the cornets with no slowing of the tempo throughout the whole piece hence the title Forward (with of course the obvious dedication within the title For Ward! referring also to Gordon Ward) There is also one glance backwards in the piece with a passing reference to the old cornet solo 'Jubilate' 
Soloist parts are supplied for Cornets in Bb (and also a soloist 1 part in Eb - making it possible to feature it as a duet for Soprano cornet & Bb cornet)
