"To a Wild Rose" is the first movement of Edward MacDowell's 1896 Woodland Sketches. It is said that the music is inspired by the wild roses that grew near his log cabin where he did most of his work. This arrangement for alto saxophone and piano is ideal for the intermediate performer.
