Product Description
"Yankee Doodle Dandy" is a classic American patriotic song written by George M. Cohan. It was debuted in the 1904 Broadway Musical "Little Johnny Jones", but most well-known from the 1942 film "Yankee Doodle Dandy" starring James Cagney as George M. Cohan. This arrangement is for advanced intermediate and begins in the key of F Major and modulates to G Major. It includes bass notes sounding like a drum roll, voicing in the right hand, helpful fingering, a verse with lots of staccato (similar to Cagney's version), and a grand finale played fortissimo and grandioso! If some of the large chords need to be simplified, just leave off the lowest note of the right hand. You will still have a nice arrangement! This song is great for patriotic events, recitals, entertainment for assisted living or 4th of July festivities at home. You will be sure to get some toes tapping and hands clapping with this classic song! Arranged by Amy J. Snyder. Visit AmyJoMusic at https://www.facebook.com/amyjsnyder7/.
