This composition suggestive of Ireland and America, on either side of the powerful Atlantic ocean, is a worthwhile concert item.  After a calm, reflective, ornate, Celtic style opening dominated by harp and woodwind, brass are introduced and the music swells relentlessly to a climax point. The coda then recalls the calm and tranquil mood of the introduction. Tuneful, rhythmical, and colorfully orchestrated, it is appealing, interesting, direct and tonal, making it enjoyable for an audience. Technically not difficult, it is suitable for an advanced level school or amateur orchestra.
