In the style of an Irish jig, this delightful, relaxed tune is played on 1st violin, with a short passage for viola. The accompaniment is sometimes syncopated, giving it a more modern sound- whilst adding to its appeal. Overall, it is not difficult, and is suitable for an intermediate level quartet. Delicate and graceful, this O Carolan composition is a fine little item for a concert , but could also be played in conjunction with another piece by the same composer.
