Product Description

Five More Christmas Duets by Kenneth Baird is another delightful collection of intermediate to medium-advanced level duets based on traditional Christmas carols that are ideal for saxophone (two altos, two tenors, two sopranos, or two baris) or oboe players. Like his 12 Christmas Duets published earlier, these are not for beginners, but are arranged so as to be enjoyable to play for intermediate and more advanced players. In addition to being a great resource for teachers to play at lessons with their students, these duets are suitable for informal Christmas performances and some are appropriate for church services. Included are: The First Noel; Angels We Have Heard on High; God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen; Jingle Bells; and an arrangement of Joy to the World that is more traditional than the one published in 12 Christmas Duets by the same arranger. These arrangements are not compatible with the other editions of this title by the same arranger. These have been transposed and revised so as to be appropriate for saxophones and oboes and some keys are not the same as those other editions. Be sure and also check out 12 Christmas Duets for Saxophones or Oboes by the same arranger.
