Georg Philipp Telemann wrote four concerti for four unaccompanied violins: TWV40:201-204. This is an arrangement for four celli of the fourth concerto in A Major, changed from its original key of A major to D Major to allow for the same string crossings and changes as in the violin version but for the configuration of the cello. Whereas the original violin version is of intermediate to advanced intermediate difficulty, this version for celli is listed as advanced because of the double-stops in the first movement.
