Rondo in A minor for Guitar and Orchestra was written in the fall of 2014, and premiered by guitarist Ian Rowe with the Imperial Valley Symphony on March 5, 2016, at the Jimmie Cannon Theatre in El Centro, California, with the composer conducting. Sir Pepe Romero, to whom the work is dedicated, calls the work "charming, and of immediate appeal." The work is scored for solo guitar, pairs of flutes, oboes, clarinets in A, bassoons, horns in F, trumpets in C, timpani, a castanet machine, and strings (8,8,5,5,3). Clarinets and trumpets in B-flat are also included in the set for those orchestras without clarinets in A or trumpets in C.
