"Its
A Long, Long Way to Tipperary" is one of the most remembered tunes from this
era. It was composed in 1914 and recorded by the well-known tenor John
McCormack, which helped its worldwide popularity. "Pack Up Your Troubles in
Your Old Kit Bag" was composed in 1915 and used during the war to boost morale
and to assist in the recruitment of troops. Both tunes are presented in this
medley to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War One.
A student of Bill Holcombe, Jari Villanueva continues writing for different ensembles. Many of his arrangements can be found on Sheet Music Plus.
