'Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley' is written for 23 bells from a two octave bell set. This arrangement is appropriate for playing by handbells, hand chimes, tone chimes or Belleplates. The combined use of accidentals and overlapping rhythmic motives make this an early intermediate piece. It includes a key change, and subtle dynamic contrasts. It is about two and a half minutes long, and would be an excellent choice for a concert, general worship or Lenten services.
