These four beginning pieces are designed to be played by beginning ringers of any age. These pieces can all be played on handbells, hand chimes or tonechimes. The arrangements include lyrics and are written with strong melody lines. The harmonies are mostly simple chords or hymn-style part writing. Expressive markings for tempos and dynamics are included where appropriate. These pieces are ideal for first concert material. They are also well suited to a camp or classroom situation. Using only the bells from a standard two octave set, they can be played by groups sized from 3 to 18 players: Kum Ba Yah uses two sets of 6 bells; Amazing Grace uses 12 bells; Jesus Loves Me uses 15 bells; Peace Like a River uses 18 bells. This is a reproducible product. This piece may be purchased as a score for one performing group, and copies made for the members of that one performing group. Save money and space while allowing for more flexibility in annotating from year to year.
