Product Description

A bold, energetic, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham. Text is inspired by accounts from the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ). See text below:

With greatness of spirit we'll honor this day,

Whatever the obstacles placed in our way.

Our troubles are stones we must lift to be strong,

As we choose between right and the wrong.

CHORUS

The spirit ever will seek to do right,

To overcome evil and stand in the light.

The Gospel of Peace we will take as our guide,

As we follow and lengthen our stride.

When Nephi the hunter had broken his bow,

He called on his father to know where to go.

He fashioned an arrow and bow from a tree,

Teaching faith to his whole family.

CHORUS

When Alma the Younger was harrowed by sin,

He thought he was doomed by the state he was in.

He called upon Jesus who banished his strife,

Whom he served for the rest of his life.

CHORUS

Of Captain Moroni the legends are told,

Defender of freedom, inspired and bold.

The standard of liberty raised he on high,

Yet with mercy his foes he let fly.

CHORUS

Two thousand and sixty of Helaman's band,

All strode into battle defending their land.

The faith of their mothers burned strong in the heart.

From commandments they would not depart.

CHORUS

With greatness of spirit we'll honor this day,

Whatever the obstacles placed in our way.

Our troubles are stones we must lift to be strong,

As we choose between right and the wrong.

CHORUS
