Soon it is gone, like dust at your feet.
Squander no chance to seize this day,
Before it passes ever away.
All sinners below, know the burn.
Peace now is fled, for comfort they yearn.
Guilt and remorse, their staff and stay,
How could they not remember to pray?
Our seconds and years fly away.
