Product Description

A bold, original Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann Snowball. The text is taken from events that occurred in the ancient Americas, written of in the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

The text of the hymn follows:

Through Samuel, called the Lamanite, A prophecy was shared

With Nephites in America And others listning there.

He said to them in five years hence The Son of God would come.

The night would not be darkened, (and?) It was believed by some.

Behold, this sign is given you!  Behold, there will be light!

The shadow then would hide its face Providing perfect sight.

For those who trusted in these words A miracle came forth,

For just before the evening dusk The sunlight called (asked?) for more.

This was a token of Gods love, To send his precious Son

To condescend with righteousness.  He is the holy One!

And, at this time in Bethlehem A star would shine the same

To show both continents displayed The Saviors holy name.

His birth announced the sacred news Expected for so long.

Sweet angels sang hosannas as They praised our Lord in song.

Behold, these holy signs were givn For all the world to see-

Dear baby Jesus came on earth To love and set us free.
