Product Description
When a friend of mine asked me if I knew of any duets
for middle school tuba players, I thought back to my days in
band class. There wasn't much published music back then
either, so I would write or arrange little tunes and we'd
play them either for ourselves or for a judge at festival.
Those were fun times.
I perused the internet for such duets, thinking there
had to be at least a nice collection for young players. The
results of the little search surprised and saddened me at the
same time. I sat down and wrote a simple duet and sent it to
my friend, asking if the skill level was right and if there
would be a need for an expanded set. When both answers came
back in the affirmative, I set to writing, thinking again
back to my youth and those wonderful times playing music with
my friends.
I hope this set satisfies both the interest of the
student and the teacher as each continues to seek excellence
in the practice room and on the stage.
