Product Description

Old French is a traditional New England folk tune popular as a reel played on the fiddle for contra dances. This arrangement is for two Early Intermediate violins and provides an interesting and melodic etude or performance piece for student players.
The tune starts in D major for the A part then goes to A Mixolydian for the B part. The arrangement then moves through A Major and D Mixolydian to C Minor ending in C Major providing interesting variations on the original theme. A score and a single sheet for each instrument is provided here. The score includes chords for accompanying instruments.
