An early intermediate setting of the popular Christmas song, Mary Did You Know? The left hand has simple repetitive patterns making it easy for the student learn and read. A single note melody is in the right hand for the verses and chorus. Some minimal chords are used in the bridge. Using the same hand shape for the chords the student moves up and down using parallel 5ths. Some syncopation will challenge the early intermediate students rhythmic counting and precision. An optional cello part is included.

Play this as a piano solo or offer your student the opportunity to experience chamber music with a friend. The cello part is also at an intermediate level.
