Product Description
Shes Leaving Home first appeared on the Beatles 1967 album, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The song was jointly written and performed by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. George Harrison and Ringo Starr took no part in the recording and there were no instrumental contributions by any of the Beatles. The song was inspired by a newspaper story about a missing teenage girl. The girl in question turned up safe and sound eventually, and had, by complete coincidence, met the Beatles at a TV recording a few years earlier.
This version of Shes Leaving Home is arranged as a duet for two Soprano Saxophones. The full YouTube performance above is the Alto Saxophone version of this arrangement.
Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance, with plenty of interest in both parts. The overall performance time is around three and a half minutes.
