Product Description
Colors of the Wind is the theme from the Disney movie Pocohontas, released in
1995. It was recorded by Vanessa
Williams and Judy Kuhn and won an
Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe in its year of release. This version is
arranged as a duet for two Violins.
Musicians at an intermediate level and above will
find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances, with both parts
enjoying melodic interest. The overall performance time is a little over three minutes. The short sample recording and the complete youtube performance is the Clarinet version of this duet.
Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help
with ensemble skills and expressive playing. There will be opportunities to talk
about the wide range of dynamics and how they might be best achieved. Students
will also be challenged by the tempo changes throughout.
