30 Bluegrass and Country Tunes is a new edition, arranged and edited for Alto Saxophone by Dave McKeown. This collection of
favourites is a diverse and fun introduction to the rich heritage of American
folk music.
The
music consists of the melody with chord symbols added, so friends can join in
on guitar, mandolin, piano, banjo or accordion. Some of the polka style tunes
are quite simple, while some of the reel style tunes are fast and furious. As
in most Bluegrass/Country music, the keys are easy, mostly D and G. Players
with two to three years experience should be able to manage most of these
uplifting and beautiful tunes.
