Product Description

This is the 44th song in Handel's "Messiah" oratorio. In the original key from Springfield Digital Orchestra's "Messiah" CD set, this is probably the most famous chorus Handel ever wrote. This song is usually performed at Christmas, but it you look at the complete oratorio, this song is actually celebrating Jesus' resurrection. Either way, this is a great song to perform. This song is also the first time Handel introduced brass (trumpets) and percussion (tympani) into the oratorio. Duration = 3:51.
