Camille Saint-Saens wrote this beautiful Romance Op. 51 (1877) for cello and piano. It works wonderfully for clarinet in this setting by John Gibson. Using a clarinet in A is preferred, but a Bb clarinet may be used if the piano plays the alternate part that is supplied.
