Product Description
An arrangement of a song that I wrote in 1973 based on a poem by Otto Wanke
The pdf file contains score and parts
The sound sample is an electronic preview
The poem is a somewhat resigned teenage-angst song of unrequited love.
Ich muss mich damit abfinden
dass Feuer und Wasser nicht zusammen passen
Das Feuer das mit heller Flamme leuchtet
das seine Umgebung anzünden möchte
das knistert.
Das Wasser das gemächlich vor sich hinfliesst
das sich nur langsam erwärmen lässt,
das sucht
das sucht
Ich muss mich damit abfinden
dass Feuer und Wasser nicht zusammen passen.

My English version:
I must settle my mind on this
that fire and water do not go together
Hot fire whose great flames flare up so brightly
which wants to set light
to all things around it
spits fiercely
Cool water smoothly flows ahead so slowly
and takes so long to warm up
and seeps
in search
in search
I must settle my mind on this
that fire and water do not go together.
