Product Description

All three of Schubert's setting of words from Goethe's "Wilhelm Meister" (with my singing translation in English) ("Wer sich der Einsamkeit ergibt" [Who gives himself to solitude], "Wer nie sein Brot mit Tränen ass" [Who never ate his bread with tears], "An die Türen" [I will creep up to the doors]) transposed to the key of E minor for alto flute and guitar. In some places the guitar part is simplified in comparison to the original piano part in order to improve the flowing quality. A version for alto flute and piano, also in E minor, is also available The sound sample is an electronic preview of the first song. The three songs are also available individually on this site.
