This is an original composition for solo violin and piano. The "Black Swan of the Black Lake" is a darkly, beautiful piece in a pensive and reflective mood. Begins in the low rich range of the viola and later extends to the upper. This song was inspired by a photo part of which is on the cover of a black swan at an actual place called the "Black Lake." Would be a great repertoire piece for the advancing intermediate student. The score contains the violin and piano part and a separate violin part as well. The recording of the piano part may be found separately under "Black Swan PIANO TRACK." James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN.
