Written on January 24, 2016, "Diamonds in the Snow" is a original piano composition in the style of minimalism. In the treble clef, the entire song uses only the notes of the E minor pentatonic scale with the right hand staying solidly in place. The recording is piano only, but the video contains some light and ambient new age orchestration. There is also a light Asian feel in the music.
