Product Description

This arrangement of the somber Easter song "Via Dolorosa" is arranged as a dual piano duet (for 2 pianos, 4 hands). The melody alternates between the two piano parts throughout the entire piece creating an antiphonal sound. The audio sample begins at the pickup for measure 7.
Ā
A few of the chords sound discordant matching the sadness implied by the lyrics of the pain and suffering Jesus felt as he trudged the road to the cross. Though the song never turns upbeat, the chords resolve in minor key fashion and a feeling of inner peace and love for Jesus is realized as the lyrics conclude with: "He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me." (Lyrics are not included, but they are worth looking up and reading through them as you play/listen to this song).
Ā
The purchase price includes the 6-page combined score with both piano parts on each page plus the alternate format with each piano part on separate pages (4 pages each). Duration 4:10
