Product Description

This arrangement for a string quartet (or 3 violins and cello) combines the familiar hymn "Come, Christians, Join to Sing" with a theme from Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 1. These two pieces meld naturally together creating a majestic arrangement. Bold and stately throughout, this arrangement makes an impressive postlude. The Violin 3 part is the same as the Viola part in case a Viola player is not available. Violin 1 carries the melody throughout.

This is an excellent arrangement for a late beginner to intermediate string group since all notes on the violin and viola can be played in the first position and up to the second position for the cello. Ranges are as follows: Violin 1--G4 to A5; Violin 2--D4 to F5; Violin 3 (Viola)--G3 to C5; Cello--C2 to B3. The purchase price includes the full 5 staff, 5 page score plus a 1 page score for each part. Duration 2:00.
