This is probably one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. This song was popular in 1994, and the lyrics are often misinterpreted. The song is about saying goodbye to an old life on the eve of something new, e.g. wedding, birth etc. It is very popular to perform at weddings and also in recital and always goes down very well indeed. Parts are provided in treble clef B flat and in bass clef at concert pitch.
