Product Description
Franciszek Walczynski was composer, a Polish Catholic priest, and a teacher. Not much is known about him, but a few hundred of his compositions still are in print today, consisting of sacred music.
These inventions were originally written for the organ, and they translate well into a wind instrument trio. This arrangement has five movements some of them quite short but they are light, cute, and not too dramatic. Some notes were changed here and there, some key signatures have been changed, some tempos have been changed, and some repeats were added when I thought that the movement was too short. The overall structure of this work, however, remains intact.
Scored for 2 altos and tenor saxophones. There is an optional soprano part to play in place of the Alto 1 part. This work is simple enough for musicians with intermediate skill.
Duration: 5.5 minutes
