Product Description
Théodore Dubois was a French composer, organist and teacher at the Paris Conservatoire. He was a prolific composer, but his works are not as popular as some of the composers that he knew and/or taught, such as César Franck, Camille Saint-Saëns, or Maurice Ravel.
This beautiful motet's original title is Ave Maria, but I thought that changing it to Song of Peace would make it more accessible to people who are looking for a title that did not have a religious connotation. As an instrumental arrangement, the lyrics are absent and therefore could be considered a suitable piece for any type of performance.
Scored for 2 oboes, English horn, and bassoon.
