The story is a dark comedy with music that reflects it. Jung Jaeil specifically wrote in a minimalistic manner to bring out the overall tense atmosphere.
This piece is quite minimalistic...and quite creepy to be honest. You can just tell that something's not right. That said, it's not meant to be played cute and pretty. This arrangement was written with the lower instruments having the melody throughout. There is a repeating rhythmic sequence of notes, which is what creates the tension, that is passed around among the flute, oboe, and clarinet. Most of the melody is shared between the French horn and bassoon.
