Product Description

Penny Lane" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released in February 1967 as a double A-side single with "Strawberry Fields Forever". It was written primarily by Paul McCartney and credited to the LennonMcCartney songwriting partnership. The lyrics refer to Penny Lane, a street in Liverpool, and make mention of the sights and characters that McCartney recalled from his upbringing in the city.

Arranged standard wind quintet.

I have made the decision to arrange this piece in C to suit the range of the wind quintet. The original is in B)

The melody is shared amongst the top instruments, the bassoon plays the walking bass line
The solo (piccolo trumpet in the original) is played by the flute.
I have tried to avoid tutti throughout.

The video is my brass quintet arrangement.
