Product Description

The Carnival of the Animals (Le carnaval des animaux) is a humorous musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The work was written for private performance by an ad hoc ensemble of two pianos and other instruments, and lasts around 25 minutes


Le cygne,  pronounced [lə siɲ], or The Swan, is the 13th and penultimate movement of The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. Originally scored for solo cello accompanied by two pianos, It is arranged here for wind quintet.
i have given the cello melody to the horn, and rather than simply transcribing the piano broken chords, I have composed a different accompaniment for the woodwind.
I have transposed the key from G to F major.
