Product Description
Elgar's Enigma Variations Op.36 are one of his most popular pieces of music.
2 variations are included here: W.N. and Nimrod.
The 2 movements segue together or can be played separately.
I have arranged Nimrod so that the tune moves between the instruments, which allows the players to breath.
Players should breath at the end of their phrases, and if this is done correctly, this will mean that there are no gaps in the music caused by all players breathing at the same time!
Variation VIII is arranged for piccolo, 2 flutes, alto and bass.
Variation IX is arranged for 3 flutes, alto and bass.
If the two movements are sequed there is sufficient time (several bars rest) for the picc. player to change to flute.
This arrangement would also work well for a flute choir.
Please contact me if you require further instrumentation.
I also have a wind quintet arrangement on this site.
