Johann Melchior Molter (1696-1765) was a German violinist and composer in the Baroque period. This piece is based on one of his concerti for two flutes.This arrangement for violin and viola is a beautiful, spritely piece, suitable for advanced students, amateurs or professionals. The left hand work does not venture past third position - however the rhythmic complexity is challenging for some.
