Product Description

"If You Leave Me Now" is a song by American band Chicago, featured on their album Chicago X. It was composed and performed by bassist Peter Cetera and released as a single on July 31, 1976. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 on October 23, 1976, staying there for two weeks, becoming the band's first number one and also performing well on the Easy Listening chart. "If You Leave Me Now" is also Chicago's biggest international hit, topping the charts in several countries including the UK, Australia, Ireland, Canada and the Netherlands. In British territory, it spent three weeks in the first position. It was one of only five "non-disco" songs to reach No. 1 in the United States during a nine-month period in 1976. According to Zachary Houle of PopMatters, "The song was so widespread on radio after its release that, reportedly, , those tuning in in New York could hear her playing on four different stations, in different versions, simultaneously".
