A beautiful arrangement of the melody of the popular hymn for acoustic guitar. The arrangement works well for both steel string and classical guitar. The piece begins with an introduction of the melody played in natural harmonics that is then developed and elaborated on interwoven with broken chords in the keys of G and D major. It rounds off with a return to the melody played in natural harmonics intertwined with broken chords in the key of G major and ends with a string of natural harmonics over the tones of a G major chord. Audiences have really loved this arrangement when played at my live performances, especially in more spiritual contexts. I believe the arrangement is within reach of advanced intermediate guitarists.
