Product Description

The first carol in the medley is "We Three Kings of Orient Are", written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857. It is followed by "Away In a Manger". There are 2 music settings for the text; the one used in the medley is by James Murray (1887). The last piece, "Go Tell It on the Mountain", is an African-American spiritual, and is considered a Christmas carol because of the lyrics celebrating the birth of Jesus. The song was compiled by John Wesley Work Jr. around 1865. The medley is designed to be played as one piece with transitions between the carols. However, I also introduced alternate endings so every carol can be played as a stand alone piece if desired. The running time of this medley is around 5 min 20 sec.
